The Walker Art Center


The
Brief.


The Walker Art Center is a world class contemporary art center located in Minneapolis, they required a curated collection of work that should be presented in an informative but also engaging manner.


Target
Audience.



The Target audience for this project was individuals aged 20-35 years old located outside of Minneapolis who want to visit and experience the exhibition. It also extends to individuals with a social media presence who will receive a PR package containing the publication to share with their followers.
    
Research
& Ideation.

The research and ideation phase involved finding inspiration and ideas to design a creative and innovative spread layout to allow for a visually appealing aesthetic and overall experience.

This phase included researching competitor aesthetics and design layouts, other publications and supporting graphical elements which then lead into sketching mock-ups before starting the development phase.

Development.

Development of design outcomes through to Refinement.
The development process included designing a consistent layout to be used within the spreads of the publication to create a consistency within the layout despite the creative colour scheme.
